Cybersecurity Awareness Month 2021
October means Halloween, pumpkin spice lattes, and National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM). This year's theme - Do Your Part. #BeCyberSmart – stresses personal accountability and the importance of taking proactive steps to enhance cybersecurity. With sustained vigilance, proper precautions, and a bit of advanced effort, we can all protect ourselves from online dangers.
Weekly Themes
As a proud NCSAM Month Champion, SDSU is launching a month-long program to create awareness about cybersecurity. Every week in October, the IT Security Office (ITSO) will provide information and tips on protecting your digital identity and keeping safe from cyber villains.
The weekly themes for this year include:
Week 1 - Be Cyber Smart
Week 2 - Fight the Phish!
Week 3 - Cybersecurity in Your Community
Week 4 - Cybersecurity: A Shared Responsibility
Follow along here and @SDSUITSO to find resources and toolkits that will help empower SDSU users to reduce their digital risks.
